Recently, I went about in my neighborhood trying to look at things from the lens of a photograph. This photo caught my eye the most. I came across this simple yet complicated image on my way to the Versova fish market. The composition of this view intrigued me.
This image encompassed a very unique view of two very different yet same walls placed beside each other. One which was broken with crows on it and the other which was new. Through the whole in between them you could see a simple, plain white wall and as you move your gaze past it you can see the hints of the jetty.

The next step of my process was to turn this into a black and white image to try and figure out the spots to etch.

Through my print I have tried to distinguish between the two walls, which are the main feature, using textures. I have only shown the veins of the new wall whereas, I have printed the broken tiles of the old broken wall.
